DEBONAIR POUR HOMME

Branding, packaging and gift set design, (concept through to final artwork) 

A feeling of urbanity was the goal of the Debonair brand. Modern typography is highlighted within a metallic chrome strip giving it a sleek, gadgetry style and the rich, mature colour palette adds an air of sophistication. Themed gift packs combine fitting products with practical gadgets. 

XAVIER FOR MEN

Branding, packaging and gift set design, (concept through to final artwork) 

Designed for the younger demographic, and as a partner to the Debonair range, the metallic and black colour palette is combined with a tactile finish to give this product a boyish look and feel. The font ‘Bank Gothic’ offers a solid typographic element, and gift sets included functional gadgets for the active fun-loving man.

Branding and packaging redesign (concept through to final artwork) 

A revolutionary approach was taken in response to the brief to update the original design of The Fruit Collection, giving it a younger appearance and appeal. The tone of the range, together with illustrative style, typography and packaging engineering were all modified. Photographic elements were introduced to give the fruit a fresher 3D look and bright colours were used to capture the eye of consumers in store.

BE BEAUTIFUL

Branding for the Be Beautiful range is constructed solely through the use of typography. A capped serif font with the initial letterform of each word raised created a significant impact. This is complemented well by a gold backdrop that confidently balances swirling floral silhouette images. Eight individual gifting options were developed, appealing to a diversity of women.

BE MINE

The branding of the Be Mine project, stemmed from the realization that the letterforms of both the ‘B’ and the ‘M’ could be made from hearts. This typographic brand was then complimented by both rich pink and vibrant purple colouring and clever packaging ideas such as bath crystals in a unique heart shaped jar, and champagne style bottles for foam bath.

VINTAGE GLAMOUR

Maintaining, and increasing, appeal in this well-established brand was the key focus when revitalising the original Classic Collection design. New branding, foil block printing, a glass etching-effect, new decorative pattern elements and the deliberate use of tactile materials, all complimented the existing silver finishes to the caps and dispensers, and together created a beautifully sophisticated revolutionary design. A home fragrance collection consisting of diffusers, candles and room sprays was also added to the core bath and beauty range.

Following the success of 'The Caribbean Collection', South African retailer Clicks wanted to create their own range with a similar vibrant appeal. Vivid detailed illustrations placed on clear packaging and filled with brightly coloured liquids was the vision in mind. Complimented by Helvetica Neue as the signature font, the typographic branding helps to create continuity across core, gifting and advertising. A solid orange casing provides gift sets with an additional eye-catching element
